You can delete your ShopKhata account at any time, yourself. No need to write to anyone.
In the web app#
- Log in at https://shopkhata.in/login.
- Open Account from the menu.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
In the Android app#
- Open ShopKhata and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
You'll be signed out on all your devices straight away.
Before you delete#
Your khata, bills and other records will be deleted too. Export them first (Excel or PDF), or keep your Google Drive backup: it stays in your own Drive.
What happens next#
- Straight away: you're signed out everywhere and your shop page goes offline.
- For 30 days: you can change your mind. Just log in again and everything comes back as it was.
- After 30 days: your account is permanently deleted, with your shops, khata, bills, items, customers, staff records, posters and photos. This can't be undone.
- Backups on our side are cleared within a further 90 days.
What we may keep#
- Payment and invoice records, for as long as tax law requires.
- Support tickets (without attachments), so we can answer any later question about them.
- Security logs, for 180 days, as Indian law requires.
- Information needed for an open complaint or legal claim, until it is closed.
Deleting your account does not by itself refund a paid plan; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Can't log in?#
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, or tell us the mobile number on it, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm it's you and delete the account within 30 days.
